The monthly Chase Community Friends Lunch Meetings at the village hall provide a warm and welcoming place for local people to come together for an enjoyable day out, with the aim of improving their quality of life and to alleviate loneliness. Meeting on the second Friday of the month, they offer anyone living in the Chase Community area the chance to socialise with friends and neighbours, enjoy some great entertainment and, of course, savour a delicious three course lunch.

The wonderful team of volunteers from CCF also provide help with transport within the Chase Community area to those who have appointments at local hospitals, surgeries and dentists; with the collection of prescriptions and, where necessary, shopping and other social needs.

Sixpenny Handley Bowls Club has a very active calendar of bowling competitions on one of the best artificial greens in the county.  The all- weather playing surface provides our members with 365 days a year bowling activity.  The outdoor season commences in April with various county competitions, as well as mid-week and weekend friendly games, which keep members busy between April and September.

During the winter months, from October to March, we also play short mat bowls in the Village Hall where we can have up to 3 lanes to play on. Whilst predominantly club members we do also have players from other clubs who come along to practice. We play in the Blackmore Vale Short Mat Eastern League, which gives us 8 home and 8 away matches during the season. When not competing we play roll up matches on Sundays and Tuesday from October to March.

Little ones can enjoy toys, singing, and plenty of space to play, with activities suitable for babies and children up to school age. While the children are busy, adults can take a break with a cup of tea or coffee and a chat. It’s an easygoing way to spend the morning and meet other parents and carers.

Entry is £1 for children and £1.50 for adults.

I teach Hatha Yoga, a practice of breathing, movement and gentle relaxation, regularly each week on a Wednesday evening from 6.45pm to 8.00pm.

Do you suffer from aches and pains, stress, anxiety or insomnia?  Then why not try Yoga? It can really help alleviate these issues as well as improving general wellbeing, strength and flexibility and sleep.

If you have done some Yoga why not give it a try?  Or if you are a beginner and want to start then please contact me as I'd love to start another beginners class.
